ROSS KOLTON is a director, writer, cinematographer, and editor, with experience in various forms of filmmaking such as; narrative, documentary, music video, comedy, news/politics, reality commercials and music videos.

as a freelancer, he most recently held a position at ora tv as lead editor for the show jesse ventura: off the grid. he designed and created all of the motion graphics for the show and completed over 300 web episodes and 40 half hour episodes for cable channel, rt america.  previously as director of production for vantastic studios, he created and directed content for vice and e! news.

his first feature film, aldo, was made with no budget and premiered at the 16th san francisco independent film festival and played at various festivals around the country. it was nominated for best feature of 2014 by newfilmmakers la and is featured on no budge, an online screening venue for independent films.

ross makes up one half of directing duo, the kolton brothers, with his brother grant, an animator and illustrator.  they combine live action with animation to create a unique style of filmmaking and have worked with brands and labels such as pepsi, ato records, and the museum of contemporary art la. they’re videos have been featured in publications such as, rolling stone, entertainment weekly, and mtv.
